Founder and CEO of Connect Global for 20 years, a business born out of a strong desire to make a difference and build a stronger future for our people, by providing employment in the communities where our people live (Māori and Pacifica) to break the cycle of dependency and create their own destiny.
Her family business has been recognised for a long list of business awards and strongly believes that future development and growth starts in the home, leading from the front. Creating that norm from a young age provides a much easier path to success.
Serena is currently serving as a Trustee for Waioture (Wai-O-Turi) Marae Reserve, S & S Fiso Family Trust, Rangipuahia Family Trust and Richard Hoani Rangipuahia Hurunui Family Trust. Previous Board Member for Porirua Chamber of Commerce, Regional Māori Economic Development Advisory Board.
Her passion/action has always been in seeking opportunities to develop and work with our people to achieve their full potential, and brings that experience and expertise home to the Parininihi Ki Waitōtara Committee of Management table.
